research process behind the Inflorescence top, explaining how customer surveys help determine the species and color palettes that best align with their essence. Let me know if you need help refining

01 research

every customer who orders an infloressence top fills out a survey, answering questions about their personality, prefrences, + idyiosyncracies. using this data, hannah helped us determine which species and color palettes best align with the essence of each customer.

02 gathering

for each print, wildflowers and cultivated flowers are individually sourced.

The image shows a cyanotype print featuring botanical elements, including a large curved leaf, smaller rounded leaves, and a delicate branching flower with multiple blossoms. The print has soft, muted tones of blue and sepia, creating a ghostly, ethereal effect. It is placed on a dark wooden surface, contrasting with the luminous quality of the print. The cyanotype process captures intricate details of the plants, highlighting their organic shapes through light and shadow.

03 printing

the selected flowers are intentionally arranged on top of expired photo paper, and then placed in direct sunlight to create a one-of-a-kind lumen print. the print is ready for scanning and fabric printing to follow.
